IL Correctional Association Fall Conference 2017
Description:
Fall 2017 Conference: Corrections: The Key to Unlocking the Door for Collaboration October 13 - 14, 2017 Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois The Illinois Correctional Association is in the process of rebuilding and becoming a foundation of corrections professionals throughout Illinois. With approximately 200 members, we continue to remain dedicated to facilitating professional development, expanding public awareness, supporting individual and agency standards for the corrections industry, and engaging the future of correctional development through student outreach. Through redevelopment comes growth and the effort to engage all sectors of the correctional system at every level: local, state, federal, private, non-profit, treatment and program providers, institutional, community corrections including probation, parole, and the courts…but the list goes on and on. In doing this, we feel it is essential to create an atmosphere of learning and networking to re-establish relationships and create new collaborative efforts for the future. Thus, our theme of Corrections: The Key to Unlocking the Door for Collaboration is about creating these collaborations on all levels and from all directions: probation, institutions, parole, treatment & services, and everywhere in between. International Association of Correctional Training Personnel Conference
Description:
General Conference Information IACTP is a criminal justice association that includes members of the training professions from national, state and local corrections agencies, community corrections, juvenile justice, higher education, academies and commissions, and private corrections. We expect attendance to be from 75-150 participants, with approximately 15-30 participants per workshop. The smaller size of this conference affords exhibitors more personal contact with the conference attendees, all focused on criminal justice training. The Annual Trainers' Conference is a unique forum that brings together correctional leaders, training managers, trainers, field instructors, consultants and others interested in both effective corrections practice and exemplary training strategies. It provides attendees with the opportunity to network and share innovative approaches being used within correctional agencies throughout the country. We hope you will have a participatory role in shaping the agenda and future direction of our corrections system.

The Economics of Corruption 2017: Detecting the Intrinsic Drivers of Anticorrupt
Description:
Recent years have seen growing skepticism towards control and compliance and the related administrative burden. Novel methods of anticorruption focus on detecting the intrinsic rather than the extrinsic drivers that might motivate ethical government. Participants learn about this experimental and behavioral research by help of lectures, games and interactive modules. They are guided to develop appropriate designs and work in groups to implement their own experiments. We kindly invite for applications by PhD-students and Master students who apply experimental methods. We are grateful if you pass on this announcement to interested applicants.
